Weezer: The Gathering

A few exciting things have been happening on the Weezer-front. 

For the first time since signing to Reprise/Warner, and since 2022’s four-part EP series SZNZ, Weezer confirmed the release of a new single Shine Again. Since its release on 1 April 2026 - and no, it wasn’t an April Fool’s joke - the single has already racked up a million streams on Spotify alone. Fans have called it “a return to form” - classic Weezer, doing what they’re doing best.  Rumour has it that the forthcoming album will be released to coincide with their massive upcoming North American tour. 

And while talking about the tour - Weezer is bringing their legendary geek-fest of tight musicianship, iconic vocal deliveries, stunning harmonies, and massive armada of singalongs to fans all across North America this fall. The Weezer: The Gathering tour is slated to kick off in early September 2026 in Sacramento, California, with stops in Portland, West Valley City, Saint Paul, Toronto, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Milwaukee, Sunrise, Phoenix, and Las Vegas, among others, before coming full-circle in late October 2026 in Los Angeles, California.

Weezer will be joined on tour by American indie rock band The Shins, the band behind smashers such as New Slang and Caring Is Creepy, alongside alternative rock icons Silversun Pickups, armed with hits such as Circadian Rhythm and Scared Together.
